DoIT Apple Support Server

Welcome to the DoIT Apple Support server, operated by the University of Wisconsin Division of Information Technology Systems Engineering group.

This server provides Apple and Apple-related information and software updates to the University of Wisconsin community. We're pleased to offer this service to the University and its affiliated facilities and agencies.

To the left and below, you will find links to the different areas of this server. They include Apple software updates, WiscWorld updates, selected third party updates, UW-specific Apple news and announcements, support information, and links to resources on external sites. Software Mirrors

Students' Information Technology, in cooperation with the Division of Information Technology, provides several Apple-related Software Mirrors to the University of Wisconsin community. These mirrors include Yellow Dog Linux, the Info-Mac and AusMac shareware archives, Apple Software Updates, and Apple Developer Software. Access Information

The DoIT Apple Support server can be accessed via several methods, including web, AppleShare, AppleShare IP, and anonymous FTP. See the DoIT Apple Support Access Information page for details.

Restricted Access

The Division of Information Technology is pleased make available restricted access areas on the DoIT Apple Support server. These levels of access give computer support professionals on the University of Wisconsin campus everything they need to support Apple systems and networks - from software archives and tools to prerelease software for evaluation and testing. About this server

The DoIT Apple Support server is an Apple Xserve running Mac OS X Server on switched, dedicated 100Mbps ethernet. The server has 1GB RAM, and 240GB of volumes online.
