DoIT Apple Support Restricted Access

This server has different access levels which give access to the different areas and services available. The public areas are accessible via the several methods outlined on the DoIT Apple Support Access Information page, while the restricted areas are designed to be accessed primarily via AppleShare. The current access levels are described below.

Public

These are the public areas of the DoIT Apple Support server, which include the primary public volume Apple Support. It contains public Apple software updates, selected third-party software updates, and WiscWorld updates. This category also encompasses web and anonymous FTP access. See the Access Information page for more information.

Seeding

The Seeding access level gives access to all Apple System Software, application software, and other utilities and tools for recovery purposes, plus access to certain prerelease Apple software, including Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server. This level of access is available to computer support personnel and departmental computer support organizations on campus and persons with a demonstrated need for access to prerelease software for compatibility testing or evaluation. All persons with Seeding access will be required to adhere to a Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreement (NDA). Apply for access.
